El Cadí-Moixeró Natural Park: Prat de Cadí

The two great mountain ranges, Cadí and Moixeró, form an impressive mountain barrier where the Pre-Pyrenees and the Pyrenees meet. The biodiversity at this strategic location is remarkable, with more than 130 bird species regularly observed. The birds of the forests and high mountains are the greatest draw, including the black woodpecker, which features in the Natural Park’s logo. From the small village of Estana, an extraordinarily beautiful walking route climbs up to the Prat de Cadí meadow, where the birdwatching is excellent.

EXPERIENCES

There are many travel agencies, companies, organisations and professional guides in the Ebre-Secans-Pirineus corridor who have in-depth knowledge of the region and the bird species that can be observed and photographed

We advise you to take advantage of the services they offer to enjoy truly memorable birding experiences.

This organisation promotes conservation, research, awareness-raising and responsible tourism. It offers several hides where photographers can observe birds of prey (in Torrebesses), the black wheatear (in Batea, Les Terres de l’Ebre), sparrowhawks (also in Batea) or aquatic birds (in Flix), as well as photography safaris in the Ebro Delta and the Secans de Lleida drylands.
