To the south of the Delta we find the Encanyissada lagoon, the largest in the Natural Park. Heading towards the beaches we find the Alfacada lagoon and the Migjorn River, a former mouth of the Ebro that creates a natural barrier between the rice fields and the Buda island.

The Alinyà Mountain is the largest private estate in Catalonia. It belongs to the Catalunya – La Pedrera Foundation and offers activities managed by the company Auberria, including “Eating with vultures”, to watch these scavengers feed, and “Guard for a day”, to get closer to them. This initiative is based in an abandoned village that has now been restored for ecotourism, with photographers’ hides, photography courses and workshops and a rural home offering tourist accommodation (Casa Felip). The hides overlook a feeding station, allowing photographers to capture spectacular images of golden eagles, bearded vultures and other scavengers.
