At 1,441 m, El Caro is the highest peak in Terres de l’Ebre and the highest point in the great massif of Els Ports. It can be climbed on foot and by car, passing through agricultural, forest and rocky habitats where a wide variety of birds can be observed. There are views of the Ebro Delta from the top, where birds of prey in flight and perhaps wild goats can be observed.
