From Horta de Sant Joan, an asphalted road (regulated at peak times) takes us into the Els Ports Natural Park, past the unmistakable silhouette of the Roques de Benet. Birds of prey can be seen flying over the cliffs, and birds of agricultural habitats can be seen in the fields. From the La Franqueta picnic area there is a route to the rocky banks of the Estrets River, where many birds can be seen and, early in the morning, wild goats.

Birdwatching, salt production and traditional fishing are the three main themes of the activities offered by MónNatura Delta de l’Ebre. This spectacular facility provides exclusive access to the Alfacada lagoon for birdwatching, special ornithological activities and guided tours (360º viewpoint, Espai Delta, etc.).
A company with over 20 years’ experience studying and teaching about the natural environment of the Pyrenees, led by two highly knowledgeable nature lovers. They offer birdwatching experiences, bird photography from hides, guided activities and educational workshops. They organise ecotourism activities in the Alinyà mountain area.
This initiative is based in an abandoned village that has now been restored for ecotourism, with photographers’ hides, photography courses and workshops and a rural home offering tourist accommodation (Casa Felip). The hides overlook a feeding station, allowing photographers to capture spectacular images of golden eagles, bearded vultures and other scavengers.
Excursions of one or more days, individually or in groups, to photograph the most iconic species in the region. They manage several fixed and temporary hides, specialising in birds in high mountain areas (such as the Casa Daniela hide for observing scavengers), hills and drylands. They also carry out projects to conserve endangered species.
This foundation rescues mistreated or injured wild animals and, if possible, returns them to the wild. When this is not possible, they are homed in the zoo, which also offers educational activities such as guided tours, bird of prey flying displays, experiences with owls and photographing birds in captivity.
This ecological and self-sufficient rural tourism lodge has a hide for watching and photographing the birds that stop to drink at a nearby pond. The birdwatching experience also includes a talk on the Torre del Codina project on the history and nature of the region.
