There are unique treasures to be found along the length of the River Ebro. One of the least known, perhaps because of the greater fame of the Ebro Delta, is the Sebes and Flix Meander Wildlife Nature Reserve. This natural oasis contains a great diversity of habitats (wetlands, reedbeds, riverside forests, river islands, etc.) with great facilities for spotting birds, including the kingfisher and numerous migratory and wintering species.

They offer half-day and full-day tours in Terres de l’Ebre, to discover the birds that live in natural areas such as the Ebro Delta, the Montsià mountain range and Els Ports. They also organise specialised birdwatching trips along the Ebre-Secans-Pyrenees corridor.

The aim of this project, led by the Espais Naturals de Ponent association, is to convert old dry stone huts and shelters into observatories for wildlife, especially birds.
